What's included?
- Newborn shoots are approx. 2 hours long, but can sometimes be longer.
- Best for babies up to 21 days new, I do offer up to 6 weeks however little one may not get as many scrunched up poses!
- Full use of outfits, hats, headbands and props are provided, styled with selections to match your colour preferences.
- A mix of wrapped, outfit and naked (optional) poses throughout the session.
- Parent and/or sibling images included, excluding wrapped mini.
- Around 5 sets (props/ table poses)
- Digital images will be received on either a digital link or a USB stick. Option to have both at an additional cost.
- Your due date is provisionally booked in my dairy , then the session can be brought forward or back depending on little ones
A deposit of £50 is required to secure your session. If your deposit isn't paid your session isn't secure. Also the deposit is deduced from the total cost of your chosen package.

How do I book?

What should we expect?
My studio is Colchester based, and very warm during the session for baby. Sessions can last anywhere from 1-3.5 hours depending on each baby, every baby is different. Some babies require more milk top ups, burping then settling them back to sleep which in its self can take 45 minutes-1 hour. I can be a right chatterbox asking you questions about you, baby, the birth etc so the time might feel like it fly's by. You are welcome to have a tea/coffee during the session whilst baby is being photographed.
What should we wear?
Please stick to very simple and neutral clothing such as whites/beige/tan/brownsblacks etc. It will create more timeless beautiful images. Please don't wear branded clothing especially with big logos as it can make the images look to busy. What you wear can make or break your images so please choose wisely.
You don't have to wear the same colours or match but make sure the colours coordinate , such as beige and browns look amazing together or whites and nudes. Some of my favourite recommendations for mums are more loose fitting knit jumpers/dresses, floaty dresses basically anything loose fitting so you feel more comfortable and relaxed during your session. Dads stick to plain t shirts/shirts/long sleeve tops or even a nice knit wool jumper. For children I always recommend similar items and styles like dresses for girls and shirts/knit jumpers for boys.
When should I book?
Newborn photoshoots should be booked in advance during pregnancy anytime after your 20 week scan. Your due date will be your guide date and we will confirm a day once baby is born. Once baby is born please contact me as soon as possible so I can give you my next available slot
Can siblings be involved?
Of course! (Unless a wrapped mini session)
I will do the family/sibling images first then I would recommend making arrangements for them to be collected as newborn sessions can last up to 3 hours and its a long time for a young child to sit through and they normally get restless.
What happens after a shoot?
After your session, I go through all the images and select the best ones for your viewing gallery. I will send your galleries within 2-6 days after your shoot, you then have a week to pick which images you would like. I will then edit them and get them back to you within 5 weeks, however you will usually receive within 3 weeks.
